Pre-Operative Medical Consultations and Assessments
Dr. Leung is pleased to offer pre-operative medical consultations and assessments exclusively for patients of select surgeons.
The assessments are done in a timely manner. Patients referred on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are seen the same day. All others are seen within one week.
A medical history and physical exam are completed. Patients are evaluated for medical suitability and medical conditions are optimized for surgery. Further investigations are ordered as needed. Clear written instructions regarding medications are given to the patient.
The surgeon is contacted if there are concerns regarding the patient or the planned surgery. A dictated note is completed for each patient.
Referrals can be faxed or brought to the office. Patients may also be sent to the office the same day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, without an appointment, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
